Why are our figures so different from Ecotricity?

How can the most accurate figures be arrived at?

Why are our figures so different from Ecotricity?

Ecotricity have a simple real-time carbon calculator on their web site (viewable here: http://www.ecotricity.co.uk/about/live- ... -intensity). It shows very different figures to the calculator here.

According to the Carbon Trust, the average kWh of electricity from the National Grid produces 537g of CO2. This figure is very different from the calculations shown on this site. Does anyone know why is this? Are they taking other things into account that this site does not?

I've been wondering about that too. I've emailed their press office to see if they can post the methodology. Will let you know if I get a reply.
